State & local history group seeks award nominations

[Source: Kyle McKoy, Curator of Education & Community Programs, Arizona Historical Society] -- The American Association of State and Local History (AASLH) awards and membership program seeks nominations for its “Leadership in History” awards for 2006. Since the conference will be held in Phoenix, the local planning committee would really like to get a good showing for Arizona projects. Last year, three Arizona projects were nominated and all three won awards in Pittsburgh. The 2005 award winners are not yet on the AASLH website, but will be soon for persons interested in viewing the details.

If you know of anyone interested in nominating themselves, or if you know of any projects or people that are worthy of nomination, please pass this information on to them. For assistance in walking through the nomination process, call me at 480-929-0292, ext.132.
